Welcome to Engineering & Robotics™

Engineering & Robotics™ helps students move from asking questions to building solutions. Students learn how ideas become designs, how designs become prototypes, and how prototypes can be tested, improved, and used to solve real-world problems.

This academy is designed for young inventors, builders, thinkers, and problem solvers. Students explore robotics, simple machines, design thinking, sensors, teamwork, coding concepts, safety, and the engineering mindset that powers future aerospace, agriculture, medicine, transportation, ocean exploration, and space technology.

Why Engineering Matters™

Engineering teaches students how to solve problems, work as a team, think creatively, build responsibly, and improve ideas through testing and learning.

Problem Solving

Students learn to identify a challenge, imagine solutions, build models, test results, and improve their designs.

Teamwork

Engineering encourages communication, patience, shared ideas, leadership, listening, and group responsibility.

Innovation

Students learn that invention begins with curiosity, courage, imagination, testing, and persistence.

Future Careers

Engineering connects to robotics, aerospace, medicine, agriculture, ocean exploration, satellites, and transportation.

What Students Learn™

This academy introduces students to engineering and robotics through hands-on projects, visual learning, teamwork, simple coding concepts, and design challenges.

Design Thinking™

Students learn to ask, imagine, plan, create, test, improve, and explain their engineering ideas.

Robotics Basics™

Students explore robot parts, movement, sensors, controls, motors, simple automation, and robot behavior.

Simple Machines™

Levers, pulleys, wheels, axles, gears, ramps, balance, force, motion, and mechanical advantage.

Coding Concepts™

Sequences, commands, loops, conditions, debugging, logic, patterns, and step-by-step instructions.

Build & Test™

Students learn to create prototypes, test performance, find problems, improve designs, and try again.

Engineering Communication™

Students explain their designs, share results, describe problems, and present solutions clearly.

Robotics Lab™

Students become young robotics engineers by learning how robots sense, move, respond, follow instructions, and help people solve important problems.

Classroom Experience™

Engineering & Robotics™ classes are active, creative, and collaborative. Students build, test, discuss, improve, and present their ideas.

1. Design Challenge™
Students begin with a real-world problem or building challenge.
2. Imagine & Plan™
D5™ guides students as they sketch ideas, discuss solutions, and plan their build.
3. Build Prototype™
Students create a simple model, robot, structure, or mechanical design.
4. Test Results™
Students test movement, strength, accuracy, balance, speed, or function.
5. Improve Design™
Students learn that engineering improves through mistakes, testing, and better ideas.
6. Present Solution™
Students explain what they built, what worked, what failed, and what they improved.

Build, Test & Improve™

Engineering teaches students that failure is not the end. It is information. Every test helps students improve the next version.

Prototype

Students create early models to test an idea before making it stronger or more complete.

Measure

Students compare distance, speed, strength, balance, accuracy, and performance.

Debug

Students learn to find what went wrong and make corrections carefully.

Improve

Students revise their designs with patience, creativity, evidence, and teamwork.

Engineering, ODIN® & Future Technology™

Engineering & Robotics™ connects naturally to ODIN® Aerospace, satellites, aircraft safety, ocean exploration, agriculture monitoring, and future technology systems.

Aerospace Engineering

Students learn that aircraft, satellites, propulsion, safety systems, and communication networks depend on engineering.

Robotics & Automation

Students explore how robots can help in factories, hospitals, farms, oceans, homes, and space missions.

Agriculture Technology

Students learn how sensors, robotics, and monitoring systems can support farms, crops, water, and land protection.

Ocean & Space Exploration

Students discover how robots help explore underwater worlds, distant planets, satellites, and dangerous environments.

Meet Teacher D5™

D5™ is the Engineering & Technology Specialist inside ODIN Learning™ and Lauren Learning Center™. D5™ helps students build, test, solve, improve, and imagine future technology.

D5™ guides students through engineering challenges, robotics basics, teamwork, design thinking, coding concepts, and innovation. Lessons are designed to make technology feel exciting, understandable, creative, and safe.

Parent Information Center™

Parents can support engineering learning by encouraging children to build, explain ideas, solve simple problems, ask what could be improved, and celebrate creative effort.
